Background

Dr. Kelleher is a multifaceted musician with a passion for versatility. His career consists of a combination of contrasting yet related pursuits, having credentials as a performer and producer, a composer and songwriter, an audio engineer and sound designer, as well as a scholar and teacher.
The drum set is Dr. Kelleher‘s primary instrument. With over three decades of professional experience, he has performed in many different settings and has recorded albums in a wide variety of styles. His tenure with the internationally known band Christafari led to shows at festivals and coliseums and to the recording of the group’s Billboard-charting album Word, Sound, & Power.
As a recordist, Dr. Kelleher has worked with decorated talent in both music and film. His engineering credits in music include the album Get It Right by Domino, a multi-platinum selling artist with a number one hit. Operating alongside General Hospital actor Brad Maule and Edgar Award winning author Joe R. Lansdale, he served as the supervising sound designer for the feature-length film Christmas With The Dead.
Certified as a Pro Tools Expert and as an Avid Instructor, Dr. Kelleher’s skills are sought not only for his engineering experience, but also for preparing individuals to build fulfilling careers. He has trained scores of students to achieve many admirable accolades, such as gaining employment at respected companies, writing jingles for corporate clients, and earning prestigious awards from esteemed organizations.
Dr. Kelleher has also contributed several noteworthy publications to the industry, including a paper presented at an Audio Engineering Society convention. Another significant offering is his feedback that was implemented from serving as a reviewer for the book by Bruce Bartlett and Jenny Bartlett titled Recording Music on Location.
