Festival of the Cranes 2025 presents Dr. James McClintock: “Drug Discoveries in Antarctic Seas”

Dr. McClintock is a polar and marine biologist at UAB and he’ll be giving two presentations at the Alabama Center for the Arts this year!
He recently returned from his 16th research expedition to Antarctica, where, over the past two decades, he and his research collaborators have become among the world’s authorities on Antarctic marine chemical ecology and drug discovery and have developed an award-winning interactive educational outreach website (www.antarctica.uab.edu).
