Calhoun Community College presents: “Jazz at the Alabama Center for the Arts”

This is the first of two jazz camps we will be offering this summer (we are also offering a Middle School Jazz Camp). The Jazz Camp, directed by Dr. Matt Leder, will run from 9:00am-4:00pm.
Lunch will be provided each day and each camper will receive a jazz camp T-shirt. There will be a jam session, hosted by jazz camp faculty, on June 21st at “The Brick” that will start at 7:00pm.
Students and community musicians are welcome to “sit in”! There will be an end of camp concert in the afternoon on June 23rd. Jazz camp curriculum will include jazz improvisation, jazz history/improvisation, masterclasses for all instruments, and all students will have an opportunity to play in an ensemble. We have an All-Star Faculty and we may also have some special guests throughout the week!
Cost for the camp is $200 per camper.
