ACA Jazz Festival in downtown Decatur

The Alabama Center for the Arts and the Calhoun Community College Music Department are pleased to announce the 2024 ACA Jazz Festival, “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans,” on Saturday, April 13!

Headliners are New Orleans greats Delfeayo Marsalis and Jason Marsalis!

Clinicians include Tim Leahey and Dr. Butler. Adjudicators include Bo Clayton and Monica Schriver.

There will be live music on two stages (outside stage downtown and inside the ACA Recital Hall) from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Music groups performing throughout the day will include community, professional, University, college, and high school jazz ensembles.

There will be a Q&A / Clinic with Delfeayo and Jason Marsalis at 1:00pm at The Princess Theatre.

There is a Finale Concert at 7:00pm at The Princess Theatre featuring Delfeayo and Jason Marsalis, the Calhoun Community College Show Band & Combo, and special guests!

Immediately following the concert, there is an after party “jam session” at The Brick Tavern & Deli! Musicians are welcome to “sit in.”
