Getting Started
The Alabama Center for the Arts provides a path to arts degrees through a partnership between Calhoun Community College and Athens State University.
Both entities provide courses at the ACA on a single campus that feels like a private arts college in historic downtown Decatur, Alabama.
Start your education at Calhoun and/or seamlessly continue your education with Athens State for a four-year degree in the arts – all at the Alabama Center for the Arts.
Step 1
Pick which college you will be applying to. If you are already enrolled, skip this step.
In some cases, current students may end up applying to both colleges if they start their initial studies as a student at Calhoun and finish their studies earning their bachelor’s degree at Athens State.
If you are just starting out or are early in your journey, you will most likely need to apply to be a student at Calhoun.
If you have already taken a good number of courses and think you are more likely a junior or senior, OR if you are transferring from another school, you will most likely need to apply to be a student at Athens State.
Step 2
Register for classes
If you have already enrolled at Calhoun or Athens State, register for classes today to begin or continue your journey to a creative career with endless possibilities.
