Josh Vincent Art History Instructor
Josh Vincent holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Delta State University. With extensive teaching experience at both private and public institutions, including four-year universities and community colleges. Josh brings a broad and dynamic perspective to Calhoun Community College’s Art History program.
Throughout his career, Josh has taught a diverse range of subjects, including Photography, Video, Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Drone Photography, 3D Printing, Computer Art, Sculpture, and Printmaking. This interdisciplinary expertise reflects a commitment to blending traditional and contemporary art practices to enrich student learning.
In addition to teaching, Josh has contributed to the arts community through work with the South Carolina Arts Commission and collaborations with various nonprofits, museums, and arts organizations. His creative work has been exhibited nationally, and he has presented on the relationship between Art and Mental Health at conferences across the country.

In my teaching, I strive to empower students to think critically, create boldly, and explore the connections between visual culture, personal identity, and social change. Whether in a traditional studio, a digital lab, or a community space, I aim to foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong engagement with the arts.”

Josh enjoys exploring different artistic mediums and techniques, continually expanding his creative practice. He is passionate about educating others, exhibiting his work, and creating public art that engages communities. As a dedicated creator and maker, Josh also designs visual projects that blend art and innovation.
