Athens State University 3rd Annual Summer Writing & Arts Summit (Day 1 in Athens & Day 2 in Decatur)

The Athens State University Writing Center is partnering with the Alabama Center for the Arts to present the 3rd Annual Summer Writing & Arts Summit —where pen and paintbrush come together to educate and inspire!
This two-day event, June 26 & 27, will feature live facilitators who will speak about their work, publications, creative processes, and all things writing. The summit will also host a variety of hands-on workshops that explore the world of craft and artistry. Vendors will showcase their handmade products as we foster a vibrant, community atmosphere.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The first day of the Writing & Arts Summit will be held in Athens on the main campus (Kares Library) and the second day will be held in Decatur at the Alabama Center for the Arts
Day One, Thursday, June 26 – will be held on Athens State University’s main campus in Athens, AL (Kares Library)
Day Two, Friday, June 27 – will be held on the Fine Arts Campus at the Alabama Center for the Arts in downtown Decatur, AL

The preorder sale will be open 5/1 – 5/31. T-shirts are $20.00 each (sizes S – 4XL). Orders will be available for pickup at Registration during the event.
You may pay with Cash or via Cash App (see QR code). If using Cash App, be sure to include your full name and shirt size in the subject line (Ex: Jane Doe – XL). This information is required to process your order.
If paying with Cash, payments can be dropped off with Dr. Roper, Laura Brink, or Kailey B. at the Writing Center (located inside Kares Library) no later than May 31.
